Jose Maria Fernandez Cortes (Petete)

Born in Malaga in 1980 in a family of artists and musicians. He arrived in Granada at age 3. He started playing the guitar at age 11, learning from his older brothers. Being 12 years old, he played in public for the first time at the Centro Amarillo and during the Fiestas del Barrio. He is also a composer and producer. He became a founding member of the group Color Flamenco with thirteen years, recording two albums; the last one of them is still unpublished.
He has shared stage with Carmen Linares in Salobreña (Granada), Tomasito in the Sala Caracol in Madrid, Tomatito in the Festival Espárrago Rock, Remedios Amaya, Esperanza Fernández, Carlos Baute, Malú, Maita Vende Cá, La Unión, Aurora Vargas, India Martínez, La Susi, Marina Heredia, Montse Cortés.
He has accompanied La Negra, Los Malaguitas, Karmela la Chocolata, Morenito de Illora and new artists of the new flamenco of Granada.
He has participated in the Autumn Festival of Granada, Albaycín Flamenco Festival (Granada), Flamenco Festival "Lucero del Alba". He played also at the opening of the Restarurante Zoraya where flamenco shows take place in the Albaycin.
Within his productions he participated in the disc of Adela Cortés. He has accompanied Diego Guerrero, Jerry Gónzalez, Jorge Pardo, Caramelo de Cuba, Ruben Dantas, Montse Cortés, Guadiana, Josemi Carmona, ...
He had recorded and produced Enrique Morente during the last two years before he died, being a musical producer of the song "Nana de Oriente" of the disc Morente Flamenco live.
