Jose Maldonado

It can be said that Jose Maldonado is a versatile dancer.
From the very beginning he has taken different styles like contemporary dance,
Spanish dance or traditional flamenco.
During his career he has worked with the companies of Javier Latorre, Antonio Canales,
María Pagés, Rafaela Carrasco, Rocío Molina, Blanca Li, Carmen Cortés, Guito,
Marcos Flores, Belén López, Rojas and Rodríguez, Carlos Chamorro ... in many of these groups he was required as a soloist.
He combines his work in companies with the world of tablao, dancing in many halls of recognized prestige such as el Cordobés, Casa Patas or el Corral de la Morería...
In 2013 he received the prize for Best Solo Choreography and the Suma Flamenca Prize in the well-known Spanish Dance and Flamenco Competition in Madrid.
He develops his work not only as a choreographer or interpreter, but also like a creator in the field of painting: he organized various exhibitions of his work, always inspired by the universe of flamenco.
Currently Jose Maldonado has formed a company giving way to his first solo work "Andrea", a show where he lets see his purest ideas.
